About VoxFree
VoxFree is a small, independently operated text-to-speech product focused on simple generation and long-form document audio.
What VoxFree Does
The short-form generator turns pasted text into speech with 54 available voices across nine voice-language groups. Eight English voices passed the current structured listening gate and appear as the featured set; every voice remains searchable and previewable. A free account can download short-form WAV audio.
The Pro document workbench accepts pasted long text, public article URLs, and PDFs up to 50,000 characters. It keeps editable sections, generation progress, individual-section retry, and project history, then assembles one WAV file and timed SRT subtitles.
The current speech engine is Kokoro-82M. VoxFree self-hosts the model on CPU infrastructure, which makes a generous free tier possible without buying character credits from another TTS API.
How the Product Makes Money
Basic generation is free with per-request caps and fair-use safeguards. Pro is a one-time $12 USD payment for 365 days of access to the long-form workflow and larger project limits. It is not an automatically renewing subscription. Checkout supports PayPal and PayPal-hosted debit or credit cards; card details never pass through VoxFree.
What VoxFree Does Not Claim
VoxFree does not currently offer voice cloning, a public developer API, enterprise service-level agreements, or acting-grade emotional control. Premium providers remain a better fit for those needs. Published quality results are internal release gates with their limitations stated, not claims of industry leadership.
